Reka Kluver
LMHP/CMFT/LIMHP/CPC for Nebraska, MFT for Colorado, CPCCAbout Me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP), Certified Marriage and Family Therapist (CMFT), Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), and Certified Professional Counselor (CPC) for Nebraska since 2013 and a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) for Colorado since 2021. I am also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) since 2021.
After graduating from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010 with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education (with an emphasis in couples and family therapy), I worked in outpatient settings, hospice care, and for Lutheran Family Services before launching my private practice in 2014 in Omaha. During my career, I have worked with the elderly community, the homeless population, and children with behavioral issues, which deepened my love of assisting people through counseling. Today, my primary focus is helping adults and couples learn how to understand and connect with themselves and their partners, as well as working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss.
I have extensive training in emotionally-focused couples therapy, a technique rooted in empowerment, love, and bonding, that guides couples towards reconnection. I believe that each person has a life’s path – and sometimes, all they need is help finding where to begin.

More About Me and My Journey
I was born to immigrant parents in London, where I grew up and became a certified accountant working for a British venture capital firm. During a travel sabbatical in 1998, I met my husband, Kris, on a freighter in Chile and moved to Denver. While adjusting to my new life, I worked as an accountant, successfully owned and operated multiple businesses, and became a US citizen. I have had life experiences related to the challenges often associated with immigrant professionals, finance and business ownership, and infertility – all of which, I believe, contribute to my empathic and understanding nature.
With each session, I embrace commitment, acceptance, and a passion for helping clients feel better about themselves, their partners, and their lives. By utilizing mindfulness and strengths-based approaches, I guide individuals and couples from unhealthy places to spaces of healing, safety, and restoration.
Since 2010, I have been a member of the Nebraska Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (NAMFT) and served as Treasurer for six years. My role entails bookkeeping and ensuring NAMFT is tax- compliant. I was also Treasurer for the Association of Private Practice Therapists (APPT), of which I was a member since 2010.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with Kris, running, meeting new people, and living my Best Life.
